About

The South Lake Children’s Choir provides a fun, active environment for children to develop musical skills. Repetition and moments of instruction instill confidence in young singers. Rehearsals include practicing songs and movements for performances as well as developing friendships with other children. As a team, children work together to create great musical experiences.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR

Gina Mobley

Sharing music with children is Mrs. Mobley’s greatest joy!

Mrs. Mobley was an educator for 22 years, working at both public and private schools, and was the music teacher to over 1,800 students in the South Lake area. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a master’s degree in Teaching. As a music teacher, Mrs. Mobley orchestrated musicals with over 120 students. Even as a kindergarten teacher, she put on musicals with her classes because she believes in the importance of musical performance for children. In each school, Mrs. Mobley led an after school choir that performed at local festivals, nursing homes, and at America Sings too.

Mrs. Mobley moved to Clermont in 2001 and now lives in Groveland with her husband, Matt. She enjoys dinners with her family and time around the piano with her children, Michael and Nathan. She and Matt enjoy traveling and taking long walks in the woods. When she gets time alone, Mrs. Mobley likes to read books, play the piano, and dig in the garden.
